BYU lost its first game of the season to Pac-10 powerhouse UCLA on Sat. The first half of the game was ridiculous with BYU not seeming like they wanted to play.
But in the second half they came out with some fire, enough to score 14 of the 17 points. It was back and forth until the last 2 minutes of the game when BYU gave way to a hard pressing UCLA offense which guaranteed their win with another touchdown.
Next week is on CSTV which the randle stadium is not subscribed to. We hate to leave you scrambling but you will have to find another venue to watch the game against Tulsa.
We will be back in business when the Cougars bring it home to Provo to play Air Force on September 22nd on the crappy MTN channel.

BYU vs UCLA
The game this Saturday is being played AT UCLA at 4:30 MST. This is going to be a great game! Here is a little history between the two teams:
Bruins take on the series:
SERIES WITH BYU - The Bruins lead the overall series, which dates back to 1983, by a 6-1 count. UCLA has won the last six meetings, but has not played the Cougars since winning 23-9 in the 1995 season at Provo.
Three field goals and two touchdowns set up by the Bruin defense were the difference in the 1995 game. Freshman quarterback Cade McNown came on in relief of an injured Ryan Fien and saw the first extensive action of his career to help lead the Bruins to a 6-3 advantage at the half. A fumble and an interception led to two UCLA third-quarter scores and staked the Bruins to a 20-point lead.
The last time the teams played in the Rose Bowl, UCLA scored a 68-14 win over the visitors (1993). The 68 points was the second-highest point total in school history. Quarterback Wayne Cook threw four scoring passes to match a then school record. Receiver J.J. Stokes grabbed three of the scoring tosses. Defensively, the Bruins sacked Cougar quarterbacks a school-record 11 times, intercepted three passes and forced three fumbles.

BYU looks to extend its winning streak against the PAC-10 to three games when it travels to Pasadena to take on No. 13 UCLA. In their last two games, the Cougars have defeated Oregon, 38-8, in the 2006 Las Vegas Bowl and Arizona, 20-7, to open the 2007 season. A lopsided series, BYU will be aiming for just their second win against the Bruins since the two teams first played at the Rose Bowl in 1983. Saturday's game will mark the first time the two teams have met in 12 years.
THE BYU-UCLA SERIES
The two teams first met in 1983 at the Rose Bowl with the Cougars coming away with a 37-35 victory. That was the last and only time BYU beat the Bruins. Saturday's contest will mark the eighth meeting between the two teams. UCLA owns a 6-1 record in the series, including six consecutive wins dating back to 1985. The Bruins? have beaten the Cougars by an average margin of 15.5 points in their six wins. Saturday's game will mark the first time the two teams have played in Pasadena since the 1997 season, when UCLA walloped BYU 68-14. UCLA holds a 2-1 record over BYU in Pasadena, while the Cougars have gone 0-3 against the Bruins in games played in Provo. In 1986, UCLA posted a 31-10 win over BYU in the Freedom Bowl at Anaheim.
